Sudden bursts of fire, bubbling water and pungent smell is continuing at Lakshmipura today as well. The locals claim that the water bubbling and gas emanating from the ground is taking place because AMC college located on Bannerghatta road is dumping polluted water which has resulted in the mess. Even as BBMP continues to be apathetic over the issue, it has issued a notice to AMC college. But experts claim that the fire was due to methane gas emission from the nearby BBMP landfill site.
